![]() I would assume BSG has some sort of data that shows what ammunition or mod is either used the most/least or bought the most/least. Leave the low tier items that aren't used and filter them out. But just filter some of the obviously bad ammunition types, maybe throw them into being used by Scavs only (helps to also combat them) and allow barter trades of lower tier items for your current trader tier item. Not saying they need access to BT or BP from LL1, that would ruin progression. Part of the trader QoL/revamp I would hope is a part of it. IMO LL4 traders should give access to all ammunition types as by that point a player would have a better idea of how to utilize each type while LL1 it should, imo, be a simpler choice. Allow players to make a decision but between things like Armor pen vs Flesh damage and not from 5 different ammunition types where you'd only reliably use 2-3 and the others you would almost never use outside of very very specific scenarios. It's why I wish we could test these things ourselves via hideout or testing via the firing range and not from an outside source that breaks the immersion by having me tab out.ģ) This is maybe the most important personally: The accessibility of items or the lack thereof viaTraders, imo, need an overhaul over any changes that have been done to the flea market. If we're so quick to point new players into the direction of another website with the detailed information, at that point why not just have that information easily accessible inside the game? Just seems like an extra step for no reason. I do agree that's part of the games charm, but it would be nice to give a better idea of how one ammunition would perform vs another, even if it isn't just number.Ģ) Even with the nuanced information, there's a reference graph made by the community that puts numbers to the ammunitions stats. My only real gripe with the ammunition are really 3 things:ġ)A fair amount of that information is nuanced to people who aren't well versed in the composition of bullet. But that's not the game that BSG wants and they've started they'll never add info like pen and damage in-game. Have seen some people suggest just removing all the bullets and just have 3 for each calibre (AP, standard, high flesh damage). The community is only obsessed with the numbers because people want to play it like a competitive shooter and min-max as much as possible, and because of this and the current over availability of high pen ammo and high tier armour, certain ammo is designated as "useless". I think it's actually good enough to play the game if you just put a little bit of effort into looking and processing the information. If you look at this provided information and cross reference with armour descriptions, you can get a pretty good idea of ammunition effectiveness and use cases. Regarding the ammunition, if you examine a bullet and double click to read the description, you find information about use cases (hunting, sporting, law enforcement ammunition etc), bullet construction and effects (expanding lead bullet, hollow point, high stopping power, hardened steel penetrator, tungsten tip, effective against basic body armour etc). Is there a streamlined guide / list of upgrade materials so I dont sell good stuff? Other than that, I've tried creeping up on people only for them to headshot me, tried running in the general direction of bullets to try and get into a fight, just to get gunned down as I enter a treeline nothing works.ĭo I just need to sit in a bush somewhere with a scoped weapon, or wait in a doorway with a gun and wait for the kills to roll in?Īlso, I feel like my stash is just filled with all sorts of dumb items that I might need for upgrading my base. The only kill against another player was in Factory when I used a shotgun and killed someone running at me. I've been doing the map Shoreline, and doing a lot of loot routes that I've used from looking at maps, and gotten a bit of gear in my stash.īut for the life of me I cant seem to kill people. I've been playing a bit of Tarkov for the past week, and I've probably got about 80-ish raids under my belt. Moderator decisions are final, please respect the moderator team and their actions.
